Status Updates.
Once upon this one day, I decided to do something that I usually don't like to do. And that is, to update my status on Facebook TWICE in one day. It's just kind of this weird personal preference that I have to not do such things. I think if people need to hear from me twice in one day, they can call me. Or come visit me in person. But I digress. So apparently this said day, I felt like I had two good things to say to the Facebook world. And here's what happened.
It just struck me as a curious thing. I mean, I'm sure that a lot of this has to do with my timing and what comes up on my friends' News Feeds, but from first glance? From first glance, something seems fishy.

Obviously we all have our priorities in order.
ReplyDeleteOh. And I know what you mean about the once-a-day rule. I do sometimes update my status more than once in a day and I feel so self-indulgent when I do. It's usually something that happens on a day when I am being particularly self-indulgent in general (usually after a restless night or when I'm feeling sick and sorry for myself). I always feel so gross at the end of such a day, like I contributed nothing worthwhile to the world.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, it's crazy that things that people "Like" and comment on. One time I posted a picture of me and my mom and it got 44 likes. Then, I changed my profile picture to a picture of myself and maybe 2 people liked it... Not that that example is quite to scale with your spiritual quote and all, but I totally get what you mean. People on Facebook just sometimes don't make sense...
ReplyDeleteIt's so random what people "like" or don't like on Facebook!
